  • What is the Maximum size for a postcard?

If you are sending your mail first class (regular or presort) the maximum size is 4.25 x 6.5. If you are sending standard rates (bulk), your maximum size is 6 x 11.

  • Is it better to send a postcard first class or third class?

The Benefit to sending your mail first class is a faster delivery time but limits your size to 4.25 x 6.5. Sending third class allows you to send a bigger postcard (up to 6 x 11) but may have a slower delivery time.

  • How do I know all of my mail was sent out?

Every time we deliver a mailing to the post office we fill out a form called the 3602. When the post office accepts the bulk mailing, they require that this form be filled out. It shows the time the mail was delivered, the date that it was delivered, the exact postage amount, and the exact number of pieces that were mailed. We keep these forms on file to protect ourselves. All you have to do is ask, and we will make you a copy.

  • How long does it take to get a mailing out?

Depending on your volume, your mail could be processed and out in as little as two days. With printing and mailing our turnaround time is usually a week to 10 days. More complex jobs could take a little longer.

  • What size jobs do you accept for processing?

We take jobs from 3,000 pieces all the way up to 500,000 pieces with no problems. Jobs that are larger than that should probably be broken up between several mailing companies.

  • Can't I just do the mailing myself or have my staff do it?

You can but usually the postage savings alone will pay for the mailing services that we provide. The post office has a lot more regulations now. Trays must be sleeved and strapped. The tray labels must be bar-coded. An average mailing of 5000 pieces can require as much as 5 large postal cages (450 LBS. each empty) or four pallets. This is because each tray is sent to its final destination zip code. We are constantly buying more equipment to keep up with the new postal regulations.
